Dragonfly Meadows Lampworking classes

We offer many ways to work with glass at Dragonfly Meadows, from beginner classes to torch rental time.  Our curriculum introduces students to borosilicate lampworking and promotes safe working habits.

Torch Rental Time
A 3-hour course covering safety, the tools used in lampworking, and basic glass skills.  Students will create a paperweight or pendant.

Cost: $120

This 3-hour course continues the beginners’ exploration of borosilicate glass, including the introduction of different color techniques and the discussion of how to set up a home studio.

Cost: $120

This second level class lasts 3 hours.  Students are Introduced to  tubing and pulling a point, focusing on seals and different techniques of constructing the vessel.  This class is an exploration into hollow designs and working with borosilicate tubing.

Cost: $120

This 3-hour course is a look into borosilicate bead making.  No experience is necessary.

Cost: $120

 

 

Looking for something beyond the standard classes?  Private lessons are always an option.  Or, schedule a class with a group of friends!

Cost: $50/hr per person

Students must have taken the beginners flame working class, or worked with the staff privately to establish necessary safety experience.  Glass and tools not included.


Cost: $10/hr



David started lampworking in 1997 in a home studio with friend and fellow
glassblower Frank Murphy. He was inspired by the organic mediums of glass and fire.
